This week I've decided to show radio through the last 8 decades. In the 1930s, radio technology was still considered fairly new. The radio was famous for transmitting Roosevelt's fireside chats throughout WWII. This decade is also when radio began playing music. Here, band leader Fred Waring conducts a live radio show called "The Varsity Show."
