This is one of the coolest music experiences I've ever had. When I was at an event programming conference, we went to a Headphone Disco. Each person receives their own set of headphones where they control the volume and they can switch between two channels. There are two DJs at the front of the room, one playing oldies like YMCA, Baby Got Back, etc while the other one plays top 40 club music (these are the two channels). It's kind of like a DJ battle to see who is listening to what music. So, there are hundreds of people together in a room, jamming out and dancing to the music they chose to hear from their headphones and the room is SILENT! Except for people singing along, there is no music playing in the room. The idea originated in England, so hopefully it will become more popular here! http://headphonedisco.com/
